These three teen-age Maasi tribe members were preparing for the traditional passage into manhood. They need (individually or as a group) to go into the bush and kill a lion with only their spears. As a group they put on makeup and stood by the side of the road to attract tourists to raise enough money to buy metal spear heads. Our photo group of eight shot images for over an hour and solved all their financial issues. Image was made in a remote area of Tanzania along the Serengeti.
